Scope:

The escape game designed for Taktic Escape Games, located in the 13th district of Paris, is set in a tent decor where Roman Emperor and philosopher Marcus Aurelius devised his war strategies. The game area consists of sections such as the tent entrance, throne area, strategy table, and worship corner. The game features high-quality wooden game elements with electro-mechanisms, such as a tactical table, a chest with a disk mechanism, and the emperor’s throne.

Scenario:

Rome, which was built as a republic, had turned into an empire after a series of wars and conquests and remained under the rule of the caesars for many long years.

Marcus Aurelius, who wants to make Rome a republic again, embarks on his last expedition to quell the mutiny started by Germanic peoples in the North. While commanding this war with his impeccable genius, Marcus – who also happened to be one of the most important Stoic philosophers to this date – wrote a declaration that would make Rome the peoples again. But before he gets the chance to announce this declaration to the Senate, he is found dead in his tent. This is a murder and it means that Rome will now be under the autocratic rule of either his brother Lucius or his son Commmondus, who is returning home with a victory over the Germani mutiny. This power struggle is sure to be the start of a bloody period for Rome. But even though bodies die and perish, ideas go on living. The Senators that are aware of the declaration written by Marcus secretly infiltrate Marcus’ tent and try to find the Declaration of the Republic, following the clues left behind by no other than Marcus himself.
